Friendship Vallejo’s Upcoming Events

  • New year, new growth! Friendship Vallejo Small Groups return the week of January 26. This is your invitation to grow in faith and build meaningful community. Groups are available for men, women, young adults, youth (ages 12–17), parents, couples, and singles—there’s a place for everyone. Register here.

  • Join us throughout Black History Month as we honor our past, celebrate our present, and look toward the future through a series of themed Sundays.

    February 1 – Africa Sunday
Wear African attire as we reflect on our roots, stewardship, and foundation.

February 8 – Jerseys Sunday (Super Bowl Weekend)
Wear a favorite jersey—sports, school, or meaningful affiliation—as we explore leadership, teamwork, and responsibility.

February 15 – Hats, Wraps & Quarter Zips
Sisters are invited to wear hats or wraps, and brothers quarter zips, as we engage in meaningful conversations within our homes and community.

February 22 – Black Future Sunday
Dress in futuristic or Afro-futuristic attire as we focus on legacy, vision, and building beyond ourselves. Our children will lead worship as we look ahead with hope.

We invite the entire Friendship Vallejo family to celebrate together each week.

  • The Music Arts and Worship Orientation will take place on Monday, January 26 at 7:00 PM. This required orientation is for current, active members of the Dance Ministry, Mass Choir, Praise Team, Media Team, and Band as we gather to learn, align, and grow in worship.

Please note: This orientation is for those already serving. An Open House Orientation for individuals interested in joining will be held next month.

  • Join us for Senior Chair Yoga on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 11:30 AM in the Fellowship Hall. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring 2.5–5 lb weights (filled water bottles are welcome). Friends are invited, and light refreshments will be served after class.

To sign up, please see Sis. Renee Sykes or Sis. Melba Thompkins after the 9 AM or 11 AM services.

  • The Adult FV Dance Ministry invites all adult members (of all genders) to participate in an open call dance audition.

    Tuesday, January 27, 2026 | 6:00–8:00 PM
    Location: FMBC Sanctuary

Come prepared to learn choreography and present to a panel. All current and prospective dancers are required to audition.

    Let’s worship through movement together.
